Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data SheetJP collects and how we use it.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, email, optional phone number, and the chassis number you submit for a report.
- Payment data — processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Checkout security data — your IP address at checkout, stored with the order for fraud prevention and payment security.
- Contact messages — name, email and message when you use our contact form.
- Usage analytics — page views and key actions (such as starting a verification or checkout), collected via Google Analytics. This may include approximate location, device/browser type, and referring site. It is not used to identify you personally for advertising.
Free tools on SheetJP (chassis decoder, grade explainer, import helpers and similar) run in your browser. They do not send personal data to our servers unless you later place an order or contact us.
How we use it
- To deliver your report and email you the link.
- To process payment and prevent fraud.
- To provide support and respond to enquiries (including manual archive search requests).
- To keep the service secure and resolve payment or delivery issues.
- To understand how the site is used and improve the product (via Google Analytics).
Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the service:
- Auction-data provider — chassis number, to retrieve your report.
- Stripe — payment information to process your order. Stripe may also set cookies in its checkout interface.
- Email delivery provider — your email and report link, to send transactional messages.
- Database hosting — order, report and contact records stored securely on our behalf.
- Google Analytics — aggregated usage data. See Google's privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
SheetJP uses Google Analytics cookies to measure traffic and key product actions (for example verifying a chassis or starting checkout). These are used for analytics, not advertising. When you pay, Stripe's Embedded Checkout may also set cookies required to process payment securely. See Stripe's privacy policy and Google's cookie policy for details.
Retention
Report links remain active for 90 days. We retain order records as required for accounting, dispute resolution and legal purposes. Contact messages are kept as needed to handle your enquiry.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@sheetjp.com.
